World leading marine safety equipment firm International Safety Products (ISP) (B77) is launching two new product ranges at Seawork 2013.

The company is showcasing the Hansen Protection Sea Wind Suit for the first time, after recently signing an exclusive partnership to become the sole UK distributor of the Hansen Protection range of suits.

Visitors are also set to be dazzled by the firm's new range of Alcares LED marine safety lights – which are extremely powerful and automatically operated in water.

ISP Sales Director Geoff Billington said the high profile commercial maritime exhibition was the perfect setting to introduce the latest additions to the portfolio.

"We are delighted to be using this year's Seawork exhibition as the platform to officially launch two excellent new product lines. The Hansen Protection Sea Wind suit is the first custom designed suit to meet the specific needs of personnel working within the offshore wind farm industry and personnel engaged in offshore rope access technique. It's a very light, high quality product designed to give the wearer complete freedom of movement. It is made from Gore-Tex fabrics with excellent waterproof and breathable properties making it highly durable and able to withstand tough and risky environments."

The Sea Wind suit is fitted with watertight pit-zips to help ventilation and regulate the wearer's temperature. It is fitted with a number of pockets to store tools and communication equipment, gloves, hood, a whistle and a buddy line. It is approved to meet the IMO/SOLAS regulations.

ISP's new line of marine safety lights are produced by Denmark based Alcares. The firm, which has more than 20 years' experience manufacturing marine emergency lights, recently named ISP as its sole UK distributor.

"Alcares is a world leading manufacturer of SOLAS approved marine safety lights for lifejackets and life rafts," said Mr Billington. "Alcares is well known for their ability to develop innovative products at competitive prices."

Further products on display include the Ocean Signal range of GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems) equipment and personal locator beacons.

A key item on show is Ocean Signal's rescueME PLB1, the world's smallest personal locator beacon. "It is 30pc smaller than the standard PLB, weighing just 116g," said Mr Billington. "It can be operated in one hand. Despite its size, it can send a GPS signal to a satellite. It further emits a radio homing signal and features a high density strobe light."

The stand promises to deliver a comprehensive guide to essential marine safety products for businesses operating in the commercial marine industry.
